Will my nail grow back normally?

Yesterday, I caught my nail in the car door and ripped my nail clean off. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if their nail grew back like it was before? or if it was slightly 'deformed'?Will my nail grow back normally?
My sister lost her thumb nail. It will grow back, slowly, but it will and it will look normal.Will my nail grow back normally?
my sister had her toe nail ripped off clean by a bed room door . it took a long time to heal ,and it was completely normal looking after it healed. good luck
