When you die your hair and nail continue to grow. But will your hair turn gray?

I was wondering if you hair was black and like 2 years later is it still the same color or grayWhen you die your hair and nail continue to grow. But will your hair turn gray?
That's a myth. Your hair and nails don't continue to grow. The skin around them recedes, making the hair and nails appear longer. When you die your hair and nail continue to grow. But will your hair turn gray?
Dead tissue cannot grow. Since hair and nails are made of protein, if the body is not functioning, then protein formation cannot take place. The appearance of growth is from the shrinkage of the dehydrated skin around the scalp and fingertips. The pigments in the hair may or may not change over time depending on the exposure that they have to the elements.
Hair and nails do not grow after death. The skin shrinks and the nails and hair appear to grow but they do not grow.
not sure if it's true that they grow, nails might seem to grow as the skin shrivels away from them, possibly the same with hair.
Dead cells cannot grow.
