about 1-3 months
if you just stopped give it a couple weeks then use sally hansen or whatever its called and its in a pink tube and it has some clear liquid stuff its not finger polish it just stays on there then put it on your nails twice everyday and dont let them wipe against anything then let it absorb into your nails and it really works youll probably notice the first week and its like 5 dollars for 2 tubes of it . they come in a pack! good luck
i used to bite my nails and i finally stopped and they started to grow long again in about 5 days or so.
If they are VERY short, 2 months, sort of short=1month
